Works on Paper Series

Working with the surface of paper is always a great collaboration. Its history, familiarity, tactile qualities and spectrum of textures affect my approach. I'm impressed by the resiliency of paper as I've experimented with applying layers of pigments, sanding, rinsing and stitching to create a history to my pieces.

The subjects of these works vary. Some reflecting on or reacting to outside circumstances, while others are more imaginings or internal explorations and meditations.
